PRIMARY

A Place to Reconnect, Learn and Thrive

Our Primary Alternative Provision provides a safe, nurturing and engaging environment for children who are finding mainstream education difficult to access.

Based on the belief that connection comes first, we create a calm and supportive environment where children can rebuild trust, develop confidence and rediscover their enjoyment of learning.

CONNECTION FIRST

We build trust and relationships before expecting children to engage fully with learning.

We celebrate progress and achievement, helping every child recognise their strengths and believe in their own potential.

Therapeutic Philosophy

"We recognise that children cannot always access learning until their emotional, sensory and regulation needs have been understood and supported."

Our provision therefore incorporates therapeutic and regulation-focused approaches throughout the school day.

Depending on individual need, activities may include:

Rebound therapy

Sensory activities

Trampolining and movement-based interventions

Emotional regulation strategies

Forest school

Creative and expressive activities

Nurture-based approaches

Mindfulness and relaxation

Social communication activities

Support from appropriately qualified therapeutic professionals

These approaches are integrated into the child's daily experience rather than being viewed as separate from education.

Learning Through Movement, Creativity & Play

Primary-aged children make sense of the world through kinetic participation and artistic storytelling. We treat active play as essential cognitive infrastructure.
